About RVCC

Raritan Valley Community College in Branchburg, NJ, is a nationally recognized institution providing the highest quality educational opportunities for residents of Somerset and Hunterdon Counties and beyond.

Over 8,000 full-time and part-time students are enrolled in 90 associate degree and certificate programs. Traditional college-age students, as well as adult learners, attend RVCC. Many are economically disadvantaged and first generation college students striving to realize the

American dream.

RVCC offers a vibrant educational environment that develops critical thinking, fosters intellectual curiosity, promotes leadership, encourages social responsibility, supports personal growth, and sustains engaged citizenship within a diverse population of students and community members.

About the RVCC Foundation:

The RVCC Foundation raises funds above and beyond public and tuition sources to support the College as a center of intellectual thought, cultural vibrancy, personal enrichment and an engine for economic growth.

The RVCC Foundation forges partnerships with individual donors, other foundations, businesses and corporations to secure scholarship support for students demonstrating academic excellence and/or financial need and enable them to focus on their studies and achieve academic success. Donations to the RVCC Foundation also:

  • Fund professional development grants for faculty and student enrichment grants, so they can pursue “deep learning” outside of the classroom and broaden their perspectives;
  • Help to ensure students do not have to choose between purchasing text books or paying for transportation, rent or food;
  • Fund RVCC students’ service learning projects in the community that enhance the lives of hundreds of families throughout Somerset and Hunterdon counties;
  • Provide funds for the Honors College at RVCC for endowed professorships; visiting lecturers and Scholars-in-Residence; student retreats and excursions; honors colloquia; and Capstone Research Projects;
  • Offer lifelong learning opportunities for more than 26,000 school children, teachers, and families, who visit the RVCC Planetarium annually;
  • Help sustain the Theatre at RVCC that offers world-class performing arts programs designed for the very young and their families, school children, RVCC students, and adults, enriching the lives of more than 25,000 people annually; and
  • Support major capital projects such as the Ray Bateman Center for Student Life and Leadership that provides a dedicated space to promote collaborative learning, information sharing and leadership skills.
